A Portuguese forest has been recognised with a unique international award for its therapeutic qualities, standing out as an alternative to traditional wellness destinations.

Portugal is home to the first therapeutic forest on the Iberian Peninsula, designed to promote health and well-being through nature.

The project, funded by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR), was only 46.4% complete in April. The contractor conditioned their return on the payment of compensation and even removed equipment from the construction site.
