The 2026 edition of the Douro Literary Festival takes place between May 7 and 9 in Sabrosa and aims to “bring poetry to the forefront of literature”.
“It was causing immense disruption,” explained the Mayor of Sabrosa. The road was closed due to the discovery of a crack and ground subsidence caused by the bad weather.
Following bad weather, a crack and a subsidence of the road surface were detected at the site, which led to the road being closed to traffic in February for safety reasons.
On Saturday, March 28, Milton Ferreira invites chefs Rui Paula and Joel Paiva to cook in the Douro. The special dinner, which interprets regional products, takes place among vineyards at the Casa das Pipas restaurant in Celeirós, in the municipality of Sabrosa.
