A source from the Central Alentejo Sub-regional Emergency and Civil Protection Command told the Lusa agency that road circulation had been interrupted at 16:18, between kilometres 17 and 18 of the A6, due to a grass fire. According to the same source, the fire, for which the alert was given at 15:57, was brought under control at 16:38, and mop-up operations have been underway since 17:20. The firefighting efforts mobilised 69 personnel, supported by 23 vehicles and a helicopter.
