Firefighters battle wildfire in Carrazeda de Ansiães
Emergency crews are currently working to contain a wildfire in Linhares, located in the municipality of Carrazeda de Ansiães. The operation involves nearly 170 personnel and eight aerial assets, with efforts complicated by difficult terrain and strong winds. The National Authority for Emergency and Civil Protection (Autoridade Nacional de Emergência e Proteção Civil or ANEPC) is coordinating the response.
Update: Carrazeda de Ansiães fire reignites, now in resolution phase
The fire in the village of Parambos, within the Carrazeda de Ansiães municipality, reignited on Sunday afternoon with two intense fronts. Firefighters successfully brought the blaze into a resolution phase by 17:30 after reinforcing aerial and ground resources.
