Retirement age to increase in 2027
The legal retirement age in Portugal will rise to 66 years and 11 months in 2027. This adjustment follows new life expectancy data released by the National Institute of Statistics (Instituto Nacional de Estatística or INE), which recorded an increase in life expectancy for the population at age 65.
