José Luís Carneiro acknowledges that his 96% re-election result brings 'special responsibilities'
Socialist leader José Luís Carneiro stated this Saturday, March 14, that his re-election result grants him 'special responsibilities' and qualifies him to be a future candidate for Prime Minister. He also announced plans to request a meeting with the President of the Republic, António José Seguro. Speaking at the Socialist Party headquarters in Lisbon after securing over 96% of the vote as the sole candidate, Carneiro identified youth who are neither studying nor working as his top priority. He emphasized his commitment to respecting internal party diversity and expressed readiness to collaborate on national solutions, including health, while awaiting the President's initiative.
