Japan introduces electronic travel authorisations for 74 countries, including Portugal

The Japanese government approved a proposal this Tuesday to create an electronic travel authorisation system for citizens of countries that currently do not require a visa for short stays, including Portugal and Brazil. To come into effect, the proposal must still be approved by Parliament, where the governing coalition holds a majority.
