EDP Chief Executive Miguel Stilwell de Andrade to Step Down
EDP Chief Executive Officer Miguel Stilwell de Andrade announced he will not seek reappointment when his current term ends at the 2027 annual general meeting. Executive board member Vera Pinto Pereira also confirmed she will leave the utility at the end of the mandate. Stilwell, who has spent 25 years at EDP, said the advance notice allows the supervisory board ample time to manage a smooth succession.
Miguel Stilwell d'Andrade is a business executive who led EDP (Energias de Portugal), the country's primary electric utility, as its Chief Executive Officer. He joined EDP in 2000 and served on the executive board from 2012 before becoming CEO of both EDP and its renewable power arm, EDP Renováveis. During his leadership, he directed the utility's global expansion in wind and solar power across Europe, North America, and South America.
