APA president José Pimenta Machado stated that worsening weather conditions necessitated proactive reservoir management, noting that soil saturation levels are high. Authorities have been preparing reservoirs, particularly Santa Clara, Pego do Altar, and Vale do Gaio, to accommodate additional water volume.
