According to the manufacturer's investigation, the issue is located in an electrical connection of the power steering system. When this connection is faulty, there is a possibility of overheating which, in extreme cases, can cause a fire. The company did not report widespread incidents but decided to proceed with the preventive campaign to mitigate any risk. Stellantis deliveries rose 12% in the first quarter.
The measure covers vehicles manufactured between 2023 and 2026, mostly from the Peugeot brand. The fix for the issue takes 30 minutes and will be paid for by the manufacturer.
