The Government has decided to maintain the fuel tax discount for the coming week, set at 7.6 cents per litre for diesel and 4.1 cents for petrol, the Ministry of Finance announced on Friday, 27 March. With a slight decrease in fuel prices expected next week, the Government will keep the temporary extraordinary ISP discount in place. According to ANAREC, fuel prices in Portugal are set to fall slightly after several consecutive increases, with simple diesel dropping by about one cent per litre and 95 petrol by 2.5 cents. Including the VAT impact, the actual discount for consumers will be 9.4 cents per litre for diesel and 5.1 cents for unleaded petrol, noted the Ministry led by Joaquim Miranda Sarmento.
