Portugal's Infraestruturas de Portugal has successfully restored over 90% of roads affected by recent severe weather, with more than 300 road segments reopened a month after the storms. The operation involved around 2,000 personnel and a €400 million government fund for repairs, including stabilizing slopes and clearing obstructions. Notably, the collapse at Casais viaduct on the A1 was resolved within 15 days. Railway services are also recovering, with the Linha do Oeste resuming normal operations north of Caldas da Rainha, while some restrictions remain south of Caldas and on the Beira Baixa line due to landslides. Additionally, regional efforts are underway to promote local products internationally, with trade missions to Belgium and France, and increased healthcare spending on cardiovascular drugs, which rose 41% over a decade to €505 million.
