For a month now, the municipality of Penela has been split in two, following the collapse of the former IC3, the national road that crosses the territory. Infra-Estruturas de Portugal does not yet have a solution for the situation.
Two parishes in Porto de Mós are isolated from the municipal seat after the collapse of EN243. So far, there is no indication of the extent of the damage.
The incident occurred on Thursday at around 09:00. A large amount of soil and street furniture were swept away.
