Viana do Castelo City Council approved, during this Tuesday's Executive meeting, the detailed design and the opening of a public tender for the rehabilitation of the Estrada de Santa Luzia. This is one of the main access routes to the hospital and to the town in Alto Minho, and is in an advanced state of degradation.
The contract was awarded in 2020 and was supposed to have been completed in 2024. It is less than 50% complete. There have been several tender processes, many delays, and four million euros have already been spent.
AdAM has launched public tenders totalling over €5.2 million to fund water supply works in the Alto Minho region of northern Portugal.
The São João Local Health Unit said the public tender for the renovation of the operating theatre block will be launched in the coming days and that the works are expected to be completed in the summer of next year.
