The soup will be available at 11 stalls in an initiative involving 14 local associations. Local gastronomy will not be limited to the dish that gives the festival its name. Almeirim melon, caralhotas bread, traditional sausages and regional wines are also among the products available at the venue, which will also feature a fair with food and gastronomic prizes. The programme includes live cooking demonstrations, children's activities and over 70 exhibitors linked to crafts and local economic activities. Ferreira do Alentejo will be the guest municipality for this edition, with an appearance scheduled for Saturday, 29 August.
