A police pursuit of a car that failed to obey a stop order ended in a collision between a car and a motorcycle, resulting in one injury on the 25 de Abril Bridge.
An accident on the 25 de Abril Bridge resulted in one minor injury and forced the closure of the left and central lanes in the South-North direction this Friday morning. Traffic was back to normal before 9 am.
Traffic in the South-North direction was restricted to the central lane following a collision between two cars, which resulted in one minor injury and four people treated at the scene. The road reopened at 10:00.
One person suffered minor injuries.
Brisa has reported that the landslide on the A5 motorway was caused by an abnormal volume of water due to recent storms, leading to soil instability and debris on the road. A technical analysis to determine a solution is expected to be completed next week. The president of Brisa announced that the company will not seek compensation from the Portuguese state for the landslide on the A1 near Coimbra, despite estimated losses exceeding three million euros. Emergency teams secured the scene, controlled the leak and carried out inspections before resuming traffic; investigations and repairs are ongoing to determine the cause and prevent further disruption.
Shortly after 17:30, traffic was being routed only through the left-hand lane. The accident caused only property damage.
