Vehicle transport on the Trafaria-Belém ferry route in Lisbon will resume this Monday following the completion of repairs to the Lisbonense vessel, which had been out of service since early April.
Lisbon’s Marquês de Pombal metro station will undergo around four months of maintenance works aimed at improving user conditions and overall upkeep; authorities stress the station will remain open and train services will be uninterrupted. The intervention is presented as routine maintenance with minimal impact on commuters, with operations and timetables maintained throughout the works.
The Arbitration Court has determined minimum services for the CGTP strike at Carris. Bus routes serving hospitals and schools will operate at 100% capacity in the morning and afternoon, and at 50% during the remaining hours.
The works are expected to last around eight months.
The buses reportedly recorded their worst performance in terms of average speed. They are now running at 13.6 kilometres per hour. The company expects speeds to become even slower next year.
