Three days to see the heart of D. Pedro at the Lapa Church
At 2:00 PM this Friday, September 25, the doors of the Lapa Church in Porto will reopen for those wishing to see the heart of D. Pedro IV. The monarch's organ will be on display in the Noble Hall of the Lapa Brotherhood for only three days, until Sunday, the 27th, featuring an evocative journey through the decisive moments of D. Pedro's life, his connection to Porto, Liberalism, and the Portuguese Civil War. This is the first time D. Pedro's heart has been exhibited to the public since August 2022, before it was sent for the bicentennial celebrations of Brazil's independence. This exhibition is free and runs this Friday and Saturday between 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM. On Sunday, the doors will be open between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM. The heart of D. Pedro IV is being exhibited again for only three days.
