EU leaders aim for 2028-2034 budget deal by December
European Union leaders have committed to reaching an agreement on the next Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) by the end of 2026. The Irish presidency of the EU Council is expected to present a new negotiating framework in October to facilitate a final deal in December. This long-term budget will cover the period from 2028 to 2034 and aims to ensure uninterrupted funding for citizens, businesses, and farmers.
