Amelie Von Wulffen’s first exhibition in Portugal, 'Panic Realism', opens at Culturgest in Lisbon, featuring over one hundred works. The artist explores personal trauma, her family's conservative and nationalist roots in Germany, and the unsettling overlap between private history and political reality. Through paintings, drawings, and papier-mâché sculptures, she reflects on contemporary uncertainty, the history of Nazism hidden within post-war cultural staples like cartoons, and the impact of societal shifts on artistic practice.
