Companies risk losing millions in unclaimed labour funds
Portuguese companies have until December 31 to claim funds from the Labour Compensation Fund (Fundo de Compensação do Trabalho or FCT). As of June, 476.6 million euros remained unmobilized, representing 73% of the total funds available for training and severance support.
The FCT (Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia) is the national public agency responsible for supporting research, science, and technology in Portugal. It manages funding for academic projects, research grants, and scientific infrastructure across the country.
