Lisbon, 23 December 2025 (Lusa) — More than 51,000 people were vaccinated against influenza in the past week, bringing the total number of people immunised since the start of the seasonal vaccination campaign in September to 2,477,875, according to data from the DGS released today.

Data from the DGS goes up to the end of November. The majority of cases are among men up to 45 years old.

Portugal has recorded 20 cases of measles since the start of the year, nine of which were in unvaccinated individuals, announced the General Directorate of Health (DGS) today.

With this measure, eligible children can now be vaccinated in hospitals or clinics in the private and social sector that are authorised vaccination points, in addition to SNS units.
