Former Secretary of State for the Sea, Lídia Bulcão, has been appointed Chief of Staff to the Deputy Secretary of State for Youth and Equality, Carla Rodrigues. The appointment was published in the Diário da República on March 10, with retroactive effect from January 19. Bulcão, a former PSD member of parliament and journalist, previously served in the first government of Luís Montenegro. Her tenure as Secretary of State for the Sea included significant work on maritime spatial planning, offshore renewable energy, and international ocean conservation initiatives.
