Tax authority contacts landlords over expired leases
The Tax and Customs Authority (Autoridade Tributária e Aduaneira or AT) has notified approximately 33,400 landlords to report the termination of non-renewable lease agreements that have already expired. Some property owners have contested the notices, claiming they had already fulfilled their reporting obligations years ago.
