Cais do Sodré metro station reopens after 19-day closure
The Cais do Sodré station of the Lisbon Metro reopens this Thursday at 6:30 am following a 19-day closure. The shutdown was necessary to facilitate railway signaling works connected to the development of the new Circular Line (Linha Circular).
The Circular Line (Linha Circular) is a major infrastructure project designed to connect the Yellow and Green lines of the Lisbon Metro, creating a loop through the city center. Once completed, this project aims to improve transit efficiency by allowing trains to circulate continuously rather than terminating at end-of-line stations.
