The Social Security Information Institute is developing an internal interoperability platform intended to stop requesting declarations the State already holds, aiming to simplify citizen and company interactions. Its president told ECO most of the paperwork currently demanded makes little sense and that the new system will let agencies share data so users submit fewer documents. The move should reduce visits and formal paperwork for many routine procedures handled by Social Security (Segurança Social). Residents who regularly deal with Social Security should watch for rollout details and new digital options.
