A 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of participating in four robberies near schools in Moita. According to a statement from the PSP, the youth was also identified as the perpetrator of a robbery at a commercial establishment in the Baixa da Banheira area when he was 15, during which he assaulted a police officer. The suspect, arrested on March 6, is strongly suspected of committing four robbery crimes, three of which were aggravated, between January 5 and February 24, 2026. The PSP stated that the suspect operated within a juvenile gang, using numerical superiority to target vulnerable minors near schools, employing threats, physical violence, and bladed weapons to steal personal items such as mobile phones. Following his first judicial interrogation, the suspect was remanded in custody.
