A 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of participating in four robberies near schools in Moita. According to a statement from the PSP, the youth was also identified as the perpetrator of a robbery at a commercial establishment in the Baixa da Banheira area when he was 15, during which he assaulted a police officer. The PSP stated that the suspect operated within a juvenile gang, using numerical superiority to target vulnerable minors near schools, employing threats, physical violence, and bladed weapons to steal personal items such as mobile phones.
