The commander of the Cabo Ruivo Fire Brigade, Ricardo Pastor, warns that the ground is saturated and there is a high risk of flooding, falling trees and landslides/ground movements. He urges people to take personal safety measures, to avoid unnecessary travel and to remove belongings from risk areas as a precaution.
