The absence of several members of the General Council, the body that elects the university's rector, meant that the process scheduled for this Friday could not be held. This week, the repeat elections had already been suspended due to the acceptance of an injunction filed by four professors. The following day, the New University of Lisbon's response to the court led to the suspension being lifted.
