One of the wiretaps from Operation Influencer, accessed by TVI, shows that António Costa lied at least twice when he stated he had never spoken to his best friend, Diogo Lacerda Machado, about the Sines data centre deal. The exchanged messages prove he did speak about it, and he even acknowledged being aware of Lacerda's contacts with chief of staff Vitor Escária.
