In a note published on the official website of the Presidency of the Republic, António José Seguro 'notes with particular satisfaction that, for the first time in the history of the Presidency of the Republic, a woman leads the Civil Household — a step that reflects the commitment to a more balanced representation in the highest public responsibilities.' Cristina Correia has now been appointed as Secretary of the Council of State, the note adds. According to the Presidency, 'these appointments consolidate the Civil Household and conclude a transition phase conducted with serenity and efficiency, ensuring the continuity and proper management of ongoing dossiers.' The note further states that Cláudia Ribeiro 'combines recognized competence with a relationship of professional and personal trust built over several years with the President of the Republic, enabling him to entrust the new Chief of the Civil Household with the responsibility of a demanding role requiring great dedication to the service of the State.'
