Public bodies are now permitted to use direct procurement for public works up to €150,000 and for the purchase of goods and services up to €75,000. These thresholds have more than tripled. Public tenders are now only mandatory for public works exceeding €1 million and for the purchase of goods and services exceeding €130,000.
