The CEO of EDP states that families have no reason to worry about their electricity bills, despite the instability caused by the war in the Middle East. In an interview with RTP this Wednesday (March 18), Miguel Stilwell d’Andrade reassured consumers, stating that there is no expectation of any impact on electricity costs in the Iberian Peninsula. He highlighted Portugal's competitive generation and production capacity, noting that current electricity costs are 20% lower than the European average. Furthermore, he mentioned that the energy regulator (ERSE) forecasts potential price reductions in the coming years. Regarding the recent Storm Kristin, he estimated that infrastructure repairs will cost approximately 80 million euros.
