Galp has dismissed concerns regarding fuel supply in Portugal, including aviation fuel, and argues that the asset merger with Moeve will strengthen response capacity during crises. Co-CEO Maria João Carioca stated the company is focused on maintaining supply security amid geopolitical instability, while co-CEO João Diogo Marques da Silva noted that Galp has limited exposure to Middle Eastern crude and is actively managing jet fuel imports and production. The company remains committed to its Sines refinery operations and expects to sign the merger agreement with Moeve by mid-year, viewing the deal as a way to enhance scale and long-term energy security.
