The Government has confirmed the location of the new Lisbon airport at the Alcochete shooting range in response to ANA – Aeroportos de Portugal, while expressing reservations about the traffic forecasts provided by the concessionaire. While acknowledging the progress made on the project and the selection of the Luís de Camões Airport site, the Government stated that the current traffic assumptions are too conservative and could lead to incorrect sizing of the infrastructure. The authorities have requested a revision of these projections and emphasized the need for further coordination regarding the Environmental Impact Study and operational flexibility.
