The officers, trained at the Police Practical School and the Braga Municipal Police, will begin by issuing warnings for illegal parking and traffic code violations.

Since the implementation of restrictions on 337 streets and the creation of 250 designated parking spaces on April 1, 2025, the most frequent infractions involve illegal parking, seatbelt non-compliance, and lack of documents. The CML stated that these measures, enforced by the Municipal Police and EMEL, have had a positive impact on traffic flow, despite some remaining constraints and approximately 150 complaints from residents regarding access to historic neighborhoods.
