The construction site for the artificial nourishment works on the urban beaches of the Almada municipality began to be set up this Thursday, followed by artificial sand replenishment interventions, which will alternately close different beaches until the beginning of June. The Portuguese Environment Agency (APA) began replenishing the beaches of Caparica with sand this Thursday, following a six-month pause due to weather conditions. In total, the joint operation by the APA and the Lisbon Port Authority (APL), expected to last 60 days, will cost nine million euros.
