Hundreds of firefighters battle Arcos de Valdevez blaze

Nearly 300 firefighters are currently battling a large wildfire in Arcos de Valdevez, located in the Viana do Castelo district. The fire, which began Monday afternoon, has two active fronts burning through brushland. Operations are ongoing, with commanders hoping that cooler overnight conditions will allow them to bring the blaze under control.
