Local Health Units launch dedicated medical certificate centres

Local Health Units (Unidades Locais de Saúde or ULS) are establishing specialized centres to handle medical and psychological assessments. This initiative aims to remove the burden of issuing routine certificates from general clinical services, allowing doctors to focus on primary patient care. The government has not yet disclosed the costs associated with these new units.
