Government extends gas support but cuts fuel discounts

The government has extended the solidarity gas cylinder (botija de gás solidária) support program until September. However, Environment and Energy Minister Maria da Graça Carvalho announced that fuel tax discounts will be progressively reduced to align with national climate change policies.
