Government sets goal to eliminate road fatalities by 2050

The government approved the National Road Safety Strategy this Wednesday, aiming to reduce deaths and serious injuries on Portuguese roads by 50% by 2030. The long-delayed plan, which has been in development since 2021, sets an ultimate target of zero road fatalities by 2050.
