The Socialist Party (PS) elected its new National Secretariat with 90% of the vote and its National Political Commission with 88%. Party president Carlos César stated that it is possible to provide opposition without constantly saying no or resorting to shouting. The elections took place on Sunday, April 19, following the congress that confirmed José Luís Carneiro as secretary-general.
