The waterfront of Lisbon, Oeiras, and Cascais is closed to traffic this Sunday, April 12, until 1:00 PM for the 3rd edition of World Physical Activity Day, featuring various free activities. 'There will be 15 kilometres along the Tagus and the Atlantic closed to traffic and transformed into a large space dedicated to outdoor physical activity,' the municipalities stated. The initiative, organised by the city councils of Lisbon, Oeiras, and Cascais, is in its third year and offers free participation in various activities, including sports demonstrations, walks, health screenings, trial classes, and awareness campaigns. Portugal celebrates movement: physical activity and sport as drivers of health and inclusion. The detailed programme is available on the official websites of the municipalities led by Carlos Moedas (Lisbon), Isaltino Morais (Oeiras), and Nuno Piteira Lopes (Cascais).
