Mudum achieves net profit of 2.5 million and closes over 83,000 policies in 2025

Mudum, the Crédit Agricole group's insurance company, ended 2025 with 83,046 policies sold and a portfolio of over 452,000 active policies, according to the annual report released this Tuesday, April 14. In a year of normalization following significant growth in 2024, net profit stood at approximately 2.5 million euros, and gross written premiums totaled 88.4 million euros, a 5% increase compared to 2024. The automotive sector was the main sales driver, recording 25% growth in policies sold, while home and health multi-risk offerings consolidated. Mudum reported a combined ratio of 97% and a solvency ratio of 175%, indicators the company presents as evidence of prudent management and robust solvency. The insurer continues to focus on digitalization and partnerships as growth vectors. Last year, it consolidated its alliance with JAP Seguros and established new collaborations with MDS and Munich Re, with a special focus on the automotive segment. Socially and financially, the company reported 49.3 million euros paid in claims during the year. Regarding human resources, Mudum maintained 97 employees in 2025, 99% with permanent contracts, and recorded approximately 4,500 hours of training, being recognized for the third time as a 'Great Place to Work'. In the document, CEO Afonso Themudo Barata states that, 'despite the particularly demanding context, we maintained a consistent path of positive growth, reinforcing our capacity for adaptation and transformation.' For 2026, the insurer points to priorities centered on accelerating digital transformation, strengthening the multi-partnership model, sustained growth in the automotive, housing, and protection segments, and increased integration of ESG criteria into its investment decisions. Profit for the French Crédit Agricole fell 0.2% to seven billion in 2025.
