European Court of Auditors identifies serious flaws in the Temporary Decarbonisation Fund

Announced by Brussels at the end of 2025, this fund will support the fertiliser, aluminium, iron, and steel sectors to avoid the risk of relocation to countries with fewer environmental regulations. However, the ECA warns of the danger of mismanagement of funds and states that the fund does not incentivise investment in decarbonisation.
