The regional gynaecology and obstetrics emergency department at Loures Hospital opens today at 09:00, marking the first to be created under the new model to address the shortage of healthcare professionals. The mayors of Vila Franca de Xira, Azambuja, Alenquer, Arruda dos Vinhos, and Benavente are meeting with the Minister of Health today to contest the closure of the gynaecology and obstetrics emergency services at Vila Franca de Xira Hospital.
