Ana Catarina Mendes, Francisco Assis and Sérgio Sousa Pinto hold final meeting of the PS National Secretariat

This Wednesday evening marks the final meeting of the Socialist Party's National Secretariat with its currently elected members. On Sunday, the National Commission will meet on the party's anniversary to formally appoint new members to the body that serves as a close advisory group to José Luís Carneiro. Francisco Assis has publicly stated he will not continue in the role due to his European commitments, and MEP Ana Catarina Mendes is also stepping down. Sérgio Sousa Pinto and Pedro Costa are also leaving the Secretariat. Inês de Medeiros is expected to depart as well, as she is set to lead the National Commission. New appointments include Ana Mendes Godinho and Luísa Salgueiro, while figures such as Filipe Santos Costa, André Moz Caldas, and Marcos Perestrello are expected to remain.
