Low-pressure system Joseph: rivers begin to overflow and more rain expected to cause flooding in the north and centre

With rain forecast throughout the week, the Portuguese Environment Agency warns of a flood risk in the north and centre of the country. The biggest concern is in areas north of the Mondego and in the Tagus basin, where dozens of roads are already affected. The effects of low-pressure system Joseph will gradually extend to the rest of mainland Portugal.
