IL admits calling more witnesses to the INEM parliamentary inquiry if new documentation 'raises more questions'

The Liberal Initiative (IL) will not call further witnesses to the INEM Parliamentary Inquiry until all requested documentation is received and analysed. However, they do not rule out future summons if the analysis reveals new issues. This follows the Ministry of Health's admission of a 'mistake' in forwarding a strike notice email from the STEPH union, which was sent to the wrong government office. The IL is currently awaiting the 'digital footprint' of the email to clarify why the former Secretary of State for Health Management, Cristina Vaz Tomé, claimed she was unaware of the strike notice despite a read receipt being logged. Meanwhile, the IGAS health inspectorate stated that its investigation into the matter is concluded and that the new information regarding the misdirected email does not warrant further action on their part.
